You might have wondered where we came up with our name, GrokTheRobot? It's actually from a book called Stranger in a Strange Land by Robert Heinlein. "Grok" means to understand something so well that you become a part of it.
Here at Grok, we're on a mission to fully understand and become a part of the world of applied AI. We want to be at the forefront of this rapidly-evolving field and be recognized as thought leaders. Hi, I'm Mike Franklin, a tech veteran who's spent a few years in the industry - (or twenty five to be exact). I've always been fascinated with all things technology, AI, and automation. Over the course of my career, I've worked to stay current with the latest advancements. I have a enough understanding of artificial intelligence to know that I'm just scratching the surface. As Socrates once said, "I know that I know nothing."
I started this blog because I couldn't find the kind of practical applied AI content I wanted to read. So, I decided to "scratch my own itch" as they say. I'm dedicated to researching and discussing a wide range of practical and theoretical topics related to AI. I also hope to meet some of the interesting people involved in this space.
